Ginga means "silver song", referencing to his ghastly appearance and mannerisms, and, if using different kanji, it also means "galaxy", in relation to his powers. His pet name “Ginrei” (銀鈴) means "Silver Bells", a famous Christmas Carol.
Information
A child gifted with numerous abilities from the psychic, such as telekinesis and telepathy, to the forbidden, such as to create and give life; because of this fact, he was sealed up, in hopes of erasing his existence. Cold and unemotional, Rei is silver-tongued and has a voice described as “quiet yet crisp”. His lonely life also caused him to become antisocial, but despite that, he spends his time making dolls; two of his best creations being MANA QUINN and mari annette.
